So why did I like it? Eh, I dunno. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I spent a large chunk of my youth skulking around cemeteries swathed in black wishing the world didn't insist on being so damn cheerful.
Jessica Verday does a good job bringing gloomy little Sleepy Hollow to life, and I enjoyed Abbey. I feel she has a lot of room to grow but that isn't a bad thing considering there are two more books in this series.
Also, if you do pick this book up you will probably finish it in a day or two. Despite the fact that it is a little over 500 pages, it is a very quick read.
